We are seeking an experienced Master Automotive Technician to join our independent repair shop servicing a mixed fleet of vehicles. The ideal candidate has strong ASE-level diagnostic skills, experience with vehicle programming and ADAS calibration, and the ability to work on foreign and domestic gasoline and diesel vehicles, including cars, SUVs, light- and medium-duty trucks. This position offers consistent, varied repair work across multiple makes and models.
Responsibilities
- Perform advanced diagnostics on a mixed fleet of gasoline and diesel vehicles using OEM and aftermarket scan tools, electrical schematics, and diagnostic software
- Diagnose, program, reflash, and calibrate vehicle modules, including ADAS systems
- Repair and maintain foreign and domestic vehicles, including GM and other major manufacturers
- Service major systems such as engine performance, powertrain, transmissions, suspension, steering, braking, and HVAC
- Perform diesel diagnostics and repairs as part of a mixed-fleet workload
- Perform wheel alignments and electronic system calibrations to manufacturer specifications
- Use personal professional-grade tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repairs
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and recommend required maintenance and repairs
- Accurately document diagnostics, labor, and repairs using shop management and estimating software
- Communicate repair findings clearly with service advisors and customers
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
- Stay current with automotive technology, ADAS systems, vehicle programming, and diagnostic procedures
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Master Automotive Technician or Senior Automotive Technician
- ASE Certification(s) preferred (ASE Master Technician a plus)
- Advanced knowledge of automotive diagnostics, electrical systems, and vehicle programming
- Ability to service a mixed fleet of foreign and domestic gasoline and diesel vehicles
- Experience with ADAS calibration, module programming, OEM software, and scan tools
- Familiarity with GM vehicles and a broad range of manufacturers
- Must provide own tools
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced independent repair shop
- Valid driver's license required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $ $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
