About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled Solar Technician/Electrician to join our Service and Commissioning team. In this role, you'll support the operation and maintenance of solar PV and battery storage systems. This position is ideal for a technician who enjoys field work, takes pride in high-quality execution, and wants to build a long-term career in the clean energy industry while working alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative, performance-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and system checks on solar equipment to maintain optimal performance.
- Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment issues identified during inspections or daily operations.
- Perform electrical testing, measurements, and diagnostics to identify and resolve system issues.
- Utilize system monitoring platforms to review and analyze performance data, identify trends, and flag potential issues.
- Accurately document all field activities, task procedures, and maintenance activities.
- Comply with all safety protocols, company policies, and applicable industry standards.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior technicians as needed.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Assist with QA/QC inspections, commissioning of new solar installations, and conducting site assessments.
- Manage preventative maintenance tasks and deliverables, including independently performing basic electrical work.
- Perform advanced testing and troubleshooting, including work on electrically live systems when authorized and required.
- Execute lockout/tagout procedures in accordance with established safety guidelines.
- Follow work instructions for both electrical and mechanical repairs performed on-site.
- Operate distribution-level systems up to 600 Vac and within PV array limits up to 1500 Vdc.
- Properly use low-voltage testing equipment, including conducting pre- and post-use inspections, safely connecting instruments, and interpreting test results.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in engineering or equivalent technical training or certification
- Licensed electrician and/or NABCEP certification preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience installing and maintaining commercial solar and/or battery storage systems preferred.
- Ability to work independently and remotely.
- Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and work on rooftops.
- Ability to perform duties in extreme weather conditions.
