Job Overview
Plan, schedule, and Coordinate maintenance activities to improve efficiency,reduce downtime and ensure equipment reliability. This involves creating work orders within the CMMS Program providing detailed steps, ensuring necessary materials and parts are available, and liaising between maintenance and production teams to balance competing priorities. A key function is also to develop and improve preventative maintenance strategies and analyze data to predict future maintenance needs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage comprehensive maintenance schedules using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Coordinate with maintenance technicians, supervisors, and management to prioritize work orders and allocate resources effectively.
  • Plan and prepare detailed work procedures based on schematics, technical manuals, and equipment specifications, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical systems (high voltage and low voltage), and mechanical components.
  • Oversee the procurement of parts and materials needed for scheduled maintenance activities, ensuring availability while minimizing downtime.
  • Evaluate and improve PM tasks, frequencies, and instructions to ensure they are effective.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and parts inventory within the CMMS system.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives related to facilities management and maintenance processes.
  • Act as a liaison between maintenance, production, and other departments to resolve conflicts and find workable compromises. Report on maintenance effectiveness through key performance indicators (KPIs)

Experience

  • Proven management experience in industrial maintenance or facilities management roles with supervising responsibilities.
  • Experience utilizing CMMS platforms for work order scheduling, asset tracking, and maintenance planning.
  • Demonstrated project management skills within manufacturing or industrial settings.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are needed to work with diverse teams and explain technical issues in non-technical terms
  • The ability to analyze data, identify root causes, and make data-driven decisions is essential.
  • Knowledge of maintenance management principles including preventive, predictive, and corrective strategies. Previous experience in an industrial maintenance environment is required.
