We provide school-based special education services focused on evidence-based instruction for students with autism and related needs. What You'll Do as a Special Education Teacher:
- Plan & deliver specialized instruction aligned with each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP).
- Adapt lessons, materials, and teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with learning differences and autism.
- Teach social, emotional, and behavioral skills using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and evidence-based practices.
- Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing monitoring of IEPs in collaboration with families and support staff.
- Track student progress using data-driven decision-making to support meaningful academic and behavioral growth.
- Maintain accurate documentation and support compliance with all special education requirements and timelines.
Our Ideal Special Education Teacher:
- Experienced: 2+ years of experience working in a school-based special education setting, including leading IEP development and implementation; supporting students with autism and other learning differences; using ABA principles; and tracking student progress through data and required documentation.
- Certified: Must have a valid Special Education teaching certification and meet state requirements for the role.
- Detailed: Keeps IEPs, student records, and required documentation accurate, up to date, and on schedule.
- Collaborative: Works closely with families, educators, and interdisciplinary team members to support consistent student progress.
What We Offer Our Special Education Teacher:
- $54,000/year (increases with education/certification)
- Full-time (40 hours/week) with no evenings or weekends
- 205-day school calendar plus 13 professional development days
