Under the direction of the VP of Finance, this position manages the accounting, financial reporting, treasury, banking and internal control functions for Cape Cod Healthcare Inc, its entities, and all joint venture activities. Also oversees the payroll and accounts payable operations for all entities that are centralized at Corporate Finance.
Description:
- Responsible for timely and accurate preparation, review, reconciliation and distribution of monthly financial reports and the monthly financial statements for all Cape Cod Healthcare entities.
- Develop, implement, and maintain financial systems, policies, practices and strategies consistent with CCHC policy and GAAP.
- Provide input to Financial Planning department for preparation of budgets, planning and financial forecasts for all Cape Cod Healthcare entities.
- Responsible for coordination of year-end audit for all CCHC entities.
- Provide support in relationship to all debt required filings.
- Act as the technical finance expert for system wide pension, insurance, workers compensation, and professional liability.
- Work closely with senior financial management in the management of cash, cash flow and overall liquidity.
- Work closely with senior financial management and other departments in process improvements initiatives as required.
- Develop policies and procedures as necessary to comply with a changing regulatory and financial environment.
- Challenges current working practices; identifies process improvement opportunities and presents recommendations and solutions to management. Engages and commits to the organization's culture of continuous improvement by actively participating, supporting, and promoting CCHC Pillars of Excellence.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
- Master's degree in Accounting or Business Administration/CPA is strongly preferred.
- A Fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association is desirable.
- This position generally requires ten years prior experience in progressively responsible positions in accounting and healthcare financial services. Five to seven years experience at a management level is desirable.
- Effective oral and written communication skills are required. Ability to effectively manage relationships and influence results in a fast-paced and in a matrixed environment is essential.
- Knowledge of risk contracting, managed care and reimbursement is desirable.
- The position requires decision-making, at times, in the absence of full detail. Thus, the use of judgment and analytic skills are requisite.
- Ability to create/maintain a healthy work environment where behavior is predicated upon mutual respect and a strong team approach.
- This position interacts with workers from all levels of the organization both inside and outside the financial services department. An ability to forge positive working relationships is essential.
- PeopleSoft experience desirable.
