Class A CDL Dump Truck Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled dump truck driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting aggregate safely and efficiently to various locations including mountain jobsites. This role requires a strong understanding of route driving, vehicle operation, and ability to drive manual dump truck. The Truck Driver will operate one of the two 18 speed manual tandem dump trucks.

Duties

• Safely operate our dump trucks, tandem 18 speed manual transmissions
• Plan and follow efficient routes for timely deliveries, including mountain terrain and dirt roads.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Load and unload cargo using loader for aggregate- use hydraulic dumping system
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle maintenance, and fuel usage.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.

Experience

• Proven experience as a dump truck driver, with ability to drive manual transmissions
• Familiarity with operating manual transmission vehicles is a MUST.
• Experience in route driving with a strong understanding of local roadways is essential.
• Knowledge of safety regulations related to transportation and cargo handling is required.
• Previous experience with mountain driving and dirt roads.
