Freelance Web Developer

Job Overview

Kai Linz Jewelry is a small, growing jewelry business seeking a skilled freelance, project-based web developer to help elevate our online presence, engagement, and sales. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with a brand, understands e-commerce, and can translate strategy into execution.

This is a freelance project role with the potential to evolve into a part-time position based on performance and project execution.

Responsibilities

• Build, customize, and optimize the Kai Linz Jewelry Shopify website
• Improve website performance, UX, and conversion rates to drive engagement and sales
• Implement and manage on-page and technical SEO best practices
• Support and collaborate on Google Ads and Meta (Facebook/Instagram) ad initiatives
• Ensure proper tracking and analytics (GA4, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, etc.)
• Troubleshoot issues and provide ongoing site updates and maintenance
• Collaborate closely with a small business team to execute projects efficiently

Requirements

• Proven experience developing Shopify stores with a strong understanding of e-commerce workflows.
• Proven experience as a web developer, preferably freelance or agency-based
• Strong Shopify experience required
• Deep knowledge of SEO strategies including keyword research, on-page optimization, and analytics tools.
• Working knowledge of Google Ads and Meta Ads
• Experience with analytics, tracking, and performance optimization
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript (Liquid a plus)
• Ability to manage timelines independently and communicate clearly

Nice to Have

• Experience working with e-commerce or jewelry/luxury brands
• Conversion rate optimization (CRO) experience
• Design sensibility or experience collaborating with designers
• Familiarity with email marketing tools and Shopify integrations
