Part-Time Fleet Mechanic

WinnScapes, Inc. is currently seeking a part-time mechanic. This position requires the ability to work on multiple kinds of vehicles and equipment including gas and diesel trucks, as well as, an assortment of small engine equipment.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Manage safety, quality and productivity of work at sites and/or shop/yard.
• Perform diagnostic and full service maintenance to a fleet of gas and diesel trucks
• Perform diagnostic and maintenance to a fleet of mowers, blowers, trimmers, edgers, chainsaws, etc.
• Perform repairs on gas and diesel trucks as well as small engine equipment
• Complete and submit all required paperwork on a daily basis
• Comply with all company policies and regulations.
• Maintain and enforce standards of cleanliness and organization in assigned trucks, trailers, equipment, jobsites, and shop/yard areas.
• Ensure that all work activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner, and that all crew members are in compliance with government and company standards
• Participate in all snow removal activities.

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of previous experience working as a mechanic
• General knowledge of tools and equipment utilized in the landscape field
• Comfortable in working well with a team in a fast paced field environment.

Salary is based on experience and ability to perform all job duties.

General Working Conditions:

• Ability to work with hand/power tools, small engine equipment, heavy equipment, and materials.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. repeatedly through an entire work shift.
• Work near heavy equipment and other vehicles on a regular basis.
• Flexible working hours including occasional weekend work.
