Production Print Service Technician

Job Description

We are hiring an experienced Production Print Service Technician to support customer sites with the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of high-volume production printers and digital presses. You will work with Canon, Oce, Konica Minolta, and other leading platforms, helping customers maximize uptime and optimize print performance. Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and repairs of production print equipment
• Provide technical support to ensure all production machines are running at optimal efficiency to meet customer needs
• Conduct system diagnostics and repairs
• Complete service reports and maintain accurate customer records
• Collaborate with the service team to resolve complex technical issues
• Stay current on advancements in print technology
• Equipment You May Work On (Training Provided): Canon varioPRINT, Canon imagePRESS, Océ VarioStream, Xerox Iridesse, Baltoro, iGen, PrimeLink, Versant, Nuvera, Kyocera Taskalfa, Konica Minolta AccurioPress (C6100, C14000, C7100), Konica Minolta 6136 and 6272P B/W Presses, MGI Jet Varnish 3D, Kodak Prosper and Ascend, WebJet Digital Inkjet Press.

Qualifications:

• Experience with production print equipment, including digital color presses and high-speed printing systems, preferred.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Technical certifications are a plus
• Willingness to travel to customer sites for installations and service calls as needed

Additional Details:

• Monday - Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM with some rotating standby coverage for 24/7 customer sites
• Daily travel within the Chicagoland area, covering key locations like Bolingbrook, Lombard, Waukegan, Elk Grove Village, and more
• Wisconsin sites require monthly or service-based visits to Pleasant Prairie and Windsor
