Senior Linux Administrator

We are seeking a
Senior Linux Administrator

This is a long-term/permanent opportunity that offers the benefit of a hybrid schedule

Responsibilities:

• Design, install, upgrade, automate, and maintain Linux server platforms and operating systems
• Execute system upgrades and ensure systems remain on current patch levels
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex system and performance issues
• Administer Linux operating systems with proven hands-on experience in enterprise environments
• Support the full server and product lifecycle, from rack and stack through final decommissioning of assets

Minimum Experience / Education:

• 5+ years' experience as a System Administrator in an enterprise environment or comparable certification and education
• Should have expertise in Linux operating system administration, maintenance, and upgrades
• Should have a solid understanding of automation platforms, preferably Ansible
• Should have a basic knowledge of Windows operating systems
• Proven track record of managing systems lifecycle
• Possesses an understanding of best practices of server configuration and administration
• Excellent communications and inter-personal skills

Preferred Experience / Education:

• Preferred bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience or equivalent industry certifications in the area of expertise (Red Hat, Microsoft, COMPTIA)
• Experience with Windows Server operating systems
• Experience administering Exchange Online
• Experience with PowerApps forms and Azure DevOps
• Experience administering Cisco UCS blade server hardware
• Experience administering Cloud Infrastructure
• Conceptual knowledge of ITIL
• Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple projects, service requests, and incidents
• Must be able to physically lift 50 pounds or equipment as needed
• Must be a self-starter with ambition and a positive attitude
• Experience working in mid-size production environments with familiarity of ITIL guidelines surrounding change management, incident response, problem management, and request fulfilment
• The following Certifications are a plus: Linux, Microsoft, VMWare, Cisco, ITIL v4
