Position Overview:

A well-established engineering and manufacturing company is seeking a
Mechanical Project Engineer
to join its New Product Development team. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys both hands-on design work and project management.

About the Role:

  • As a Mechanical Project Engineer, you will help drive new product initiatives from concept through release. Responsibilities include:
  • Designing and developing new mechanical products using AutoCAD and Inventor
  • Creating 2D/3D models, detailed drawings, and design documentation
  • Managing project schedules and coordinating cross-functional efforts
  • Leading product development tasks and monitoring project milestones
  • Regularly communicating project status to leadership
  • Supporting prototype builds, testing, and design refinement
  • Collaborating with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Business Development, and Finance teams

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related)
  • 2–5+ years of engineering experience (product development or project engineering preferred)
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Inventor, and Vault
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Experience working cross-functionally and in fast-paced environments
  • Knowledge of ERP systems is a plus
