Salt Truck Driver

Salt Truck Operator - The salt truck operator is responsible for the safe operation of a company issued salt truck during winter weather conditions, ensuring the effective application of salt to all properties contracted by Lyman's Landscaping in order to mitigate risks associated with icy surfaces, all while adhering to safety protocols and local regulations.

It is extremely important that the job outlined is done effectively to eliminate any slip and fall risk to our customers for motorists and pedestrians.

Operators will follow a scheduled route and will be provided with the necessary materials (machine/vehicle, shovels, de-icer, etc) to do their job. They will be required to fill out logs at each property which must be accurate and detailed.

The amount of hours worked in the winter season will be weather dependent and operators should be ready to be called out as the snow and ice events unfold 24/7 including weekends and holidays.

It is extremely important to follow all safety protocols during winter and dress appropriately for harsh weather conditions for this position.

Defensive driving will be extremely important, as driving conditions can be precarious during snow and ice events.

Everyone employed by Lyman's Landscaping is responsible for completing all tasks in a timely, professional manner with the highest level of safety as top priority.

The salt truck operetor must communicate effectively and professionally at all times with clients, colleagues and Owners, as well as maintaining a professional appearance.
