Summary of Position

The Sales Operations Administrator supports the effectiveness and accuracy of the Sales organization by taking ownership of assigned sales operations tasks related to data integrity, documentation support, and administrative coordination. This role is well suited for a proactive learner who can work independently, is highly organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and takes pride in accuracy and delivering results on time.

High Level Role and Responsibilities

  • Data Integrity & CRM Support
    Assist with accurate entry and maintenance of customer, opportunity and sales-related data in Salesforce to ensure clean, reliable reporting.
  • Documentation & Reporting
    Support the preparation of reports, presentations, and documentation for Sales Operations and Sales Leadership.
  • Sales Support Administration
    Support routine sales operations tasks, including RFI/RFP coordination, QBR tracking, internal documentation updates, and Salesforce entries.
  • Sales Documentation Compliance
    Help organize, track, and maintain sales documentation such as contracts, agreements, and project-related files.
  • Marketing Liaison Support
    Partner with the Marketing team on pre-show and post-show sales support, event coordination where needed, lead distribution, and follow-up documentation from trade shows, conferences, or customer events.
  • General Operational Support
    Take ownership of assigned administrative and operational tasks, ensuring they are completed accurately, on time, and with minimal follow-up, while escalating issues or risks as needed to the Director of Sales Operations & Enablement.

Detailed Responsibilities

  • Create or update sales opportunities in Salesforce based on rep input
  • Run and review Salesforce reports to support data auditing
  • Monitor revenue alignment and update records as needed
  • Support weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting needs
  • Conduct basic research within tools such as ServiceNow to confirm data discrepancies against planned revenue, billings, or programs
  • Assist with tracking follow-up actions from marketing events, shows, or campaigns
  • Complete other ad hoc requests as assigned

Skills and Personal Attributes

  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Exposure to CRM systems or customer data platforms
  • General understanding of sales processes or marketing support activities
  • Demonstrates a proactive learning mindset and curiosity to understand sales processes and systems
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
  • Strong follow-through skills; completes work reliably and communicates status clearly
  • Comfortable asking questions, seeking clarification, and escalating issues appropriately
  • Takes pride in accuracy, consistency, and meeting commitments

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1–3 years of experience in a sales operations, sales support, or administrative/coordination role
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce a plus, but not required)
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Willingness and eagerness to learn Salesforce and other internal systems

Additional Requirements

  • This position operates primarily in a professional office and remote (hybrid) environment and requires regular use of standard office equipment.
  • Minimal to no travel.
  • Occasional lifting of materials up to 25 pounds may be required to assist with shipping needs within sales for event preparation.
