Field Supervisor Job Description:

· Understand and apply safe traffic control practices, leading subordinates by example.

· Facilitate pedestrian and vehicle traffic flow.

· Oversee and direct subordinates to meet established conduct and performance standards and policy and procedural requirements.

· Provide staffing reports at the beginning and end of each tour.

· Mentor and assess subordinates.

· Prepare detailed incident reports, recap forms, and other reports as necessary.

· Respond to unusual occurrences and execute emergency response plans when necessary.

· Communicate and take actions in real time to overcome operational and personnel challenges.

· Recognize and employ feedback from clients, Senior Field Supervisors, and SSPTMS management, ensuring that contract compliance requirements are being met.

· Carry out specific requests assigned by clients, Senior Field Supervisors, and SSPTMS management.

· Provide on-the-job training for newly hired or promoted subordinates and Field Supervisors.

· Work alongside law and traffic enforcement officers and other traffic control mechanisms in the area.

· Maintain frequent and positive contact with SSPTMS personnel, clients, and the public.

· Assist Field Operations with other tasks and special projects as needed.

Field Supervisor Job Requirements:

· Able to obtain or maintain a 4-hr Flagger certification and 40-hr Site Safety Training (SST) certification.

· Able to work outdoors, on your feet, and in all weather conditions.

· Self-motivated with the desire and ability to "lead from the front."

· Capable of identifying and responding to situations quickly and accurately.

· Effective verbal and written communication skills, including active listening skills.

· Strong report writing skills with special attention to grammar, spelling, and usage.

· Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and de-escalation skills

· Competent to handle sensitive and confidential information.

· Available to work weekends as needed.

· Available to work nearly all events scheduled at a variety of locations as needed (Barclays Center, UBS Arena, Sports Illustrated Stadium, LaGuardia Airport and JFK Airport).

Experience Required:

· Experience in law enforcement, traffic enforcement, or the military police is strongly preferred.

· Experience in flagging, traffic management, security, and/or other safety-related experience is also preferred.

Field Supervisor Schedule:

· You will be scheduled to work a minimum of thirty (30) hours per week at locations throughout the five boroughs of NYC.

· Days, hours, and locations are variable, since work is event-based and operational needs are subject to change.

Uniform:

· You must be clean and professional in your appearance, abiding by all uniform and appearance guidelines.

· We supply your hat, t-shirt, vest, sweatshirt, winter jacket, raincoat, whistle, radio, lighted baton, and other items for use in extreme weather conditions.

· You must provide your own pants and footwear in accordance with our uniform and appearance guidelines.

· 401(k) retirement benefits are available to Field Supervisors over twenty-one (21) years of age after working for at least six (6) months and at least 1,000 hours. Company matching is available, and full vestment is achieved after three (3) years.

Pay Range: $28.00 to $35.00 per hour, depending on certifications and experience.
