Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Medical Practice Administrator, preferably with experience in Cardiology to oversee daily operations of our medical practice. This leadership role requires a strong background in healthcare management, office administration, HR, and clinical workflows. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient practice operations, staff management, compliance with healthcare regulations, and high-quality patient care delivery. This full-time position offers an opportunity to lead a dedicated team within a dynamic cardiology setting, emphasizing excellence in patient service and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily administrative functions of the cardiology practice, including scheduling, patient workflow, equipment maintenance, and patient records management
  • Oversee fiscal management, including budgeting, financial analysis and reporting, and resource allocation , accounts payable, timekeeping, and payroll
  • Supervise clinical and administrative staff, providing leadership in human resources functions such as hiring, training, benefits management, and performance evaluations
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain the confidentiality of medical records and patient information
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers to optimize clinic workflows and improve patient care processes and keep updated credentials
  • Utilize EMR/EHR system to manage scheduling, clinical documentation, and medical records efficiently
  • Monitor practice performance metrics and implement quality improvement initiatives aligned with ACR, ICAEL, and ODH standards
  • Coordinate with billing supervisor to oversee processes related to claims submission, reimbursement, A/R management, managed care contracting, credentialing, insurance claims, and utilization management
  • Maintain knowledge of medical terminology relevant to cardiology and acute care settings, and manage relationships with medical equipment vendors
  • Collaborate with external agencies for accreditation and regulatory compliance including HIPAA audits and ACR and ODH standards

Skills

  • Proven experience in medical office management or healthcare administration within a clinical setting
  • Strong fiscal management skills including budgeting and financial oversight
  • Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems
  • Excellent supervisory skills with experience managing multidisciplinary teams in a multi-site healthcare environment
  • Knowledge of medical terminology specific to cardiology and acute care practices
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations, medical records management, and healthcare compliance standards
  • Ability to coordinate complex scheduling, billing procedures, and insurance processes related to managed care
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in office operations and medical administrative support tasks
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with staff, patients, vendors, and external agencies
  • Experience with human resources functions including staff training, onboarding, payroll, and performance evaluation is preferred

Candidates with 3 or more years experience in medical practice management will be considered.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75, $90,000.00 per year
