Role Summary:
The Fleet, Safety & Compliance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing fleet compliance, driver administration, and safety-related processes to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company standards. This role works closely with operations, dispatch, vendors, and drivers to maintain fleet readiness, driver compliance, and accurate reporting across all safety and compliance functions.

Work Location & Environment:
You will be working from our Calgary office located at th Street S.E., Calgary, AB, T2C 4Y6. This location will be your base office.
Key Accountabilities:
In this role, you will:
- Oversee fleet, safety, and driver compliance programs
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, including Hours of Service (HOS)
- Coordinate preventative maintenance, safety inspections, and defect resolution
- Manage driver onboarding, training, and ongoing compliance requirements
- Prepare and analyze safety, compliance, and operational reports
- Act as a key point of contact between internal teams, vendors, and owner operators
- Set up and maintain fleet and driver files
- Establish and maintain schedules for preventative maintenance (PMs) and safety inspections
- Coordinate with dispatch and operations to ensure units are brought in for PMs and safeties as scheduled; follow up to ensure completion
- Ensure reported vehicle defects are repaired and process related invoices for payment
- Obtain vendor quotes and submit for approval
- Coordinate and schedule random inspections for owner operators operating under company authority
- Apply strong working knowledge of Hours of Service (HOS) regulations
- Perform daily audits of driver logs and circle checks to ensure accuracy, completeness, and legibility, file reports accordingly
- Schedule required online training for drivers (e.g., Dangerous Goods, circle checks, HOS) and track completion
- Set up and monitor daily pre-trip inspections
- Collect and verify required pre-hire documentation, ensuring all guidelines are met, including:
- Previous employer checks
- Driver abstract
- Criminal background search
- Carrier Profile history
- Drug and alcohol testing
- Arrange driving tests, coordinate driver orientation, and assign required online training
- Prepare monthly Carrier Profile reports, including conviction percentage analysis and month-over-month changes
- Produce various operational reports, including:
- Weekly cost reports
- Monthly captive reports
- Utilization reports for CDI leased units
- Manage fuel card administration
Qualifications
We're looking for someone who brings:
Education & Experience:
- Secondary School Diploma
- 2 years in a related compliance field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Demonstrated ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Proven ability to manage competing and conflicting priorities
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Reliable attendance and strong organizational skills
