Life Enrichment Coordinator
Position Summary
- The Life Enrichment Coordinator plans, organizes, and leads engaging activities and programs that address the whole person. This approach to health and wellness which includes eight dimensions of wellness: Emotional, Environmental, Health Services, Intellectual, Physical, Social, Spiritual and Vocational.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and developing a diverse schedule of life enrichment activities.
- Adapt programs to meet the individual needs, abilities, and interests of participants
- Facilitate group and one-on-one activities that encourage socialization and engagement
- Coordinate special events, celebrations, outings, and community partnerships
- Maintain a collaborative relationship with other team members, care staff and volunteers
- Maintain accurate attendance records, and progress notes
- Maintain accurate inventory of supplies to ensure resources and utilized as needed and on-hand supplies are always in stock
- The ability to coordinate and communicate with resident families
- Ensure all activities comply with safety regulations and organizational policies
- Encourage resident/participants involvement in planning and decision-making
- Train and guide volunteers and staff as applicable
- Assist in gathering each resident's interests through the Social Spiritual History Assessment for planning person-centered approach activities.
- Assist with preparing and distributing monthly calendars according to the Community standards.
- Assist with gathering information, articles, and photos for newsletter
Assist with preparation and distribution of weekly program contents.
May be responsible for transporting residents to special recreational outings.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy, Gerontology, Social Work, or related field preferred)
- Previous experience in activity planning, recreation, or enrichment programming (healthcare or senior living experience preferred)
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work with individuals of varying physical and cognitive abilities
- Creative, energetic, and compassionate approach to programming
- Basic computer skills for scheduling, documentation, and communication
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lead activities involving standing, walking, and light lifting
- Must be able to assist participants with mobility or adaptive equipment as needed
Work Environment
- Indoor and outdoor settings, including community spaces
- May require evenings, weekends, or holiday events

Position is Full-Time, with some hours on weekends and /or holidays
Starting salary: $23.00 per hour.
