Operations Coordinator (Manufacturing)

Location: Vancouver, WA (On‑site)

Company: Bent River Tech (Precision CNC Manufacturing)

About the Role

Bent River Tech is a high‑mix, low‑volume precision CNC machine shop serving advanced R&D, aerospace, robotics, and technology customers. We're looking for a sharp, organized, and proactive Operations Coordinator to help keep the shop running smoothly, on schedule, and without surprises.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment, sees problems before they explode, and enjoys bringing clarity and structure to complex operations.

This is not a clerical or desk‑only role. You'll be closely connected to the shop floor, coordinating, and daily execution.

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate daily and weekly tasks.
  • Ensure jobs are fully ready before release to the shop (prints, material, tooling, outside processing)
  • Monitor job status and identify risks to on‑time delivery
  • Actively manage bottlenecks and changing priorities
  • Communicate clearly with machinists, programmers, inspection, and shipping
  • Provide proactive customer status updates when needed
  • Own the shipping schedule and ensure jobs ship completely and on time
  • Maintain accurate job status and data in our ERP system (ProShop)
  • Shipping and Receiving
  • Purchasing / Subcontracting
  • Making jobs live and concluding them in our system

What Success Looks Like

  • Fewer surprises and fire drills
  • Jobs start on time with complete information
  • Clear, realistic expectations
  • Strong on‑time delivery performance
  • Confident, professional communication—internally and externally

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in manufacturing, machining, production control, or shop coordination
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities without losing the big picture
  • Comfortable working with machinists and technical teams
  • Calm, confident, and solution‑oriented under pressure
  • Experience with ERP systems (ProShop experience a plus, not required)

Nice to Have (Not Required)

  • CNC machining or programming background
  • Experience in high‑mix, low‑volume manufacturing
  • Familiarity with quality systems, travelers, or job routers
  • Military, Defense, Aerospace, or ITAR environment exposure

Why Bent River Tech

  • Growing, modern precision machine shop
  • High‑end customers and interesting technical work
  • Small team where your impact is visible and valued
  • Leadership that cares about doing things right
  • Opportunity to grow into broader operations or leadership roles

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive pay based on experience
  • Paid time off
