Corporate Controller

We are partnering with a global manufacturing and distribution company seeking a hands-on Controller to oversee all accounting operations for their U.S. business. This role will own the day-to-day financial operations while partnering closely with U.S. leadership and the global parent company.

This is a highly visible, operationally focused role ideal for a Controller who enjoys being in the details, strengthening processes, and ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting in a manufacturing and distribution environment.

role in Jackson County, GA.

Essential Duties & Functions

• Own the monthly close process, including preparation and review of financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with GAAP
• Manage and review inventory accounting, including quarterly consolidated and inventory reporting packages and related calculations
• Oversee external audits, including quarterly reviews, annual audits, and SOX/internal audit coordination
• Manage all tax-related activities, including sales/use, excise, and personal property taxes; coordinate with external CPAs on filings, estimates, notices, and audits; oversee 1099 preparation
• Oversee treasury and cash management, including AR monitoring, releasing orders on credit hold, and coordinating line-of-credit activity
• Lead accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring proper approvals, coding, and timely processing
• Manage corporate credit cards and expense reporting systems; review and approve expense reports weekly
• Prepare and oversee annual budgets and forecasts, including headcount, CapEx, and operating expenses
• Coordinate payroll review, benefits-related accounting, deferred compensation, and company car taxable income
• Oversee 401(k) administration, including audits, testing, Form 5500, and coordination with providers
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, strengthen controls, and improve efficiency across the finance function
• Perform other duties as needed to support the business

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within manufacturing and/or distribution
• Controller or senior accounting management experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and inventory accounting
• ERP experience required; Epicor or similar manufacturing/distribution ERP strongly preferred
• Experience working with external auditors and tax providers
• Hands-on, detail-oriented approach with the ability to operate as a player-coach
• CPA preferred, not required
