Building Bridges Therapy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team. As an Occupational Therapist at Building Bridges Therapy, you will play a vital role in helping individuals improve their physical, cognitive, and sensory skills to enhance their overall quality of life. With a focus on children with developmental delays, disabilities, or injuries, you will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide individualized therapeutic interventions and develop targeted treatment plans. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of clients' physical, cognitive, and sensory skills to identify areas of concern or improvement opportunities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessments and in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to clients in accordance with treatment plans
- Monitor progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed
- Collaborate closely with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to therapy and continuity of care
- Educate and train clients, parents, and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and strategies to carry over in daily activities
- Document and maintain accurate records of treatment sessions, progress notes, and other relevant information
Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy
- Valid state license or certification as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience working with pediatric populations with developmental delays, disabilities, or injuries
- Strong knowledge of occupational therapy principles, techniques, and assessment tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic attitude
- Ability to adapt and be flexible in a dynamic work environment
- Current CPR and first aid certifications (or willingness to obtain)
