Position Description:

Join CGI's Middleware team and contribute to the management and optimization of messaging and integration platforms. In this hybrid role, you will work on middleware technologies such as IBM MQ and RabbitMQ, supporting application deployments and ensuring reliable message flows across enterprise systems. You will collaborate with experienced team members, assist in troubleshooting, and help maintain high availability and performance of messaging solutions. Your future duties and responsibilities:

- Assist in designing, installing, and configuring messaging environments (IBM MQ, RabbitMQ).
-Support deployment and configuration of enterprise applications across middleware platforms.
Monitor and maintain messaging queues, channels, and related components to ensure stability and performance.
- Provide second-level support to developers and application teams, including troubleshooting and incident resolution.
- Log, track, and resolve incidents; propose sustainable solutions and preventive measures.
- Contribute to automation and process improvement initiatives for middleware and deployment workflows.
- Perform routine system administration tasks such as patching, capacity monitoring, and performance tuning.
- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to deliver practical, cost-effective solutions.
- Create and maintain accurate technical documentation for configurations and procedures.
- Stay informed on emerging technologies (e.g., Kafka, cloud messaging) and apply them to ongoing initiatives.


Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Essential Qualifications
•Experience with MySQL databases
•Advanced knowledge and hands-on technical experience with PERL, PHP in an Agile development/SDLC environment
•An ability to quickly translate and navigate through new code from different development styles
•Excellent communication skills in English and French, speaking and writing
Desired Qualifications
•Independent worker that requires little supervision beyond initial scope expectation and transfer of requirement
•Aptitude for application level support, migration and deployment activities
•Knowledge of data integration tools (ex: Pentaho or Talend)
•Familiarity with big data concepts (ex: Hadoop or Map Reduce)
Professional Attributes
•Results-oriented with a strong track record of successful delivery
•Participate and network externally in industry forums to share best practices and gain competitive intelligence
Education and Certification
•Bachelor's degree with a focus on Information Technology/Communications, or equivalent
•ITIL Expert certification
CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $50 000–$ This role is an existing vacancy.


Bilingualism (French and English) is required for this position due to the nature of the role requiring interaction with national and global clients.
