ABOUT THE JOB:
Societe Generale's Communications department promotes and protects the bank's brand and its strategy, serving to both advise on and deliver key initiatives on behalf of the Americas CEO, Executive Committee, business lines and support functions. The Communications team works across the region in support of the Bank in the United States, Canada, and Brazil, while also maintaining close coordination with Societe Generale Group Communications in Paris and the bank's global activities. The Communications team is comprised of several groups including Media Relations, Internal Communications, Events, Sponsored Conferences and Branding/Advertising.
The Communications Specialist oversees a wide range of communications activities for SG Canada including internal communications, executive communications, social media, citizenship/contributions and events/conferences. Ensure SG Canada initiatives gain visibility within the Americas region as well as globally within SG Group. Simultaneously, coordinate key Americas and SG Group global communications initiatives with SG Canada offices/staff.
What will be your DAY-TO-DAY?
· Develop internal content across multiple channels including written messages, video, visuals/graphics and presentations to enhance staff engagement.
· Find opportunities for internal messages/initiatives to also make an impact with external audiences via social media channels (LinkedIn)
· Assist in planning and execution of executive level internal/external communications and social media messaging for SG Canada CEO and other key executives.
· Promote SG as an employer of choice. Work in partnership with the Head of Human Resources to implement SG Canada Employer Branding Strategy with a strong linkage to the Societe Generale global strategy.
· Act as a valuable communications partner across SG Canada for different business units/service units
· Organize and support internal and external events.
· Coordinate local citizenship activities and oversee due diligence reviews of charity partners.
· Participate in crisis/business continuity messaging as it relates to internal communications or operational or business situations.
· Work as part of and contribute to the SG Americas regional communications team and more broadly the SG Group global communications team.
· Assist in French/English translations.
· Work in close collaboration with current communications VIE/intern.
