Position: Light Duty Cleaner

Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a dependable and hard-working Light Duty Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. This is a full-time position, with 40 hours per week, and offers competitive pay and benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sweep, mop, wash, wax and polish floors
• Dust furniture and vacuum carpeting and area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture
• Make beds, change sheets and distribute clean towels and toiletries
• Attend to guests' requests for extra supplies
• Stock linen closets and other supplies' areas
• Clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances
• Clean and disinfect public areas such as changing rooms, showers and elevators
• Disinfect operating rooms and other hospital areas
• Pick up debris and empty trash containers
• Wash windows, walls and ceilings.
• Report and store lost and found items
• May provide basic information on facilities
• May handle complaints.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial services is an asset

- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods

- Ability to work independently and follow instructions

- Strong attention to detail and time management skills

- Physically fit and able to lift up to 25 pounds

- Good communication and interpersonal skills

- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends if needed
