We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Warehouse Technician to join our facility in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This role goes beyond standard warehouse duties, focusing on maintaining and repairing warehouse equipment, ensuring our logistics operations run smoothly and safely. You will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving issues with machinery, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring all equipment meets operational standards. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar technical role within a warehouse or logistics environment. Your expertise will be crucial in minimizing downtime and maximizing the efficiency of our operations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment, including forklifts, conveyors, and automated systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
- Conduct regular safety inspections of equipment and ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Operate various tools and machinery required for repairs.
- Assist in the installation of new equipment.
- Ensure the proper use and availability of PPE for all warehouse staff interacting with equipment.
- Collaborate with the operations team to identify and address potential equipment failures and improve workflow within the logistics chain.
- Support efforts to improve warehouse safety and efficiency.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and best practices for equipment operation.
- Ability to perform lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- A dedication to ensuring the highest levels of safety and operational reliability in our logistics hub.
