We are looking for a diligent Shipping Clerk to join our logistics team in Boise, Idaho. As a Shipping Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately and efficiently. This position involves preparing shipping documents, verifying shipment details, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining organized shipping records. Your attention to detail and understanding of Logistics processes are key. Ensuring Safety in all aspects of the shipping process is paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare bills of lading, shipping orders, and other shipping documentation accurately.
- Verify shipping information against customer orders and packing lists.
- Schedule and coordinate pickups with various shipping carriers (e.g., UPS, FedEx, LTL).
- Track shipments and provide updates to internal teams and customers as needed.
- Inspect outgoing shipments to ensure proper packaging and labeling.
- Operate shipping dock equipment, such as pallet jacks, safely.
- Maintain organized shipping logs and filing systems.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Follow all Lifting requirements for preparing pallets for shipment.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and external partners.
- Assist with other Logistics-related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar Logistics role is preferred.
- Proficiency in shipping software and carrier portals is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills, including MS Office.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety standards.
