Our growing logistics center in Kansas City, Missouri, is seeking experienced and certified Forklift Operators to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse. Your duties will include operating various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to load and unload trucks, transport goods to and from storage areas, and assist with inventory management tasks. Maintaining a clean and organized work area, as well as performing pre-operation checks on equipment, is essential. The ideal candidate will have a valid forklift certification, a proven track record of safe operation, and a strong understanding of warehouse procedures and safety protocols. This position requires a keen awareness of your surroundings and strict adherence to all safety regulations, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). While operating forklifts, you will also be involved in some manual tasks that may require lifting up to 50 lbs. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks according to schedule.
- Transport goods to and from designated storage areas.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on forklifts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock placement.
- Follow all warehouse safety rules and procedures.
- Wear required PPE at all times.
- Comply with all traffic laws within the facility.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and regulations.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
