We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Clerk for our busy facility in Los Angeles, California . This role is critical to ensuring that all outgoing shipments are accurately documented, processed, and prepared for timely delivery. You will be responsible for generating shipping labels, coordinating with carriers, maintaining shipping records, and ensuring compliance with all shipping regulations. A strong understanding of shipping procedures and logistics is essential. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading and manifests.
- Generate shipping labels and ensure accurate addressing.
- Coordinate with freight carriers for pick-ups and deliveries.
- Track shipments and provide updates to relevant parties.
- Maintain accurate records of all outgoing shipments.
- Inspect outgoing packages for proper packaging and labeling.
- Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, carriers, and customers.
- Assist with receiving duties as needed.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE .
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or vocational training preferred.
- Proven experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar administrative/logistics role.
- Proficiency with shipping software and common carrier platforms.
- Knowledge of shipping documentation and logistics procedures.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations.
- Comfortable with basic computer tasks and data entry.
- Ability to perform moderate physical tasks, such as occasional Lifting (up to 30 lbs).
