As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the physical movement of materials throughout the warehouse, ensuring that operations run smoothly and products reach their destinations safely and on time. This role is fundamental to our supply chain, involving the loading and unloading of trucks, moving items to and from storage, and preparing goods for shipment. You will work in a fast-paced environment, requiring physical dexterity, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe workspace. The ideal candidate will be a reliable team player with a strong sense of responsibility. While prior experience is beneficial, we are willing to train motivated individuals who demonstrate a capacity to learn quickly and follow directions. Key aspects of this role include manual dexterity for handling various materials and the ability to perform consistent Lifting. We emphasize a culture of safety, requiring all employees to strictly adhere to our safety policies, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Move materials to and from storage areas using appropriate equipment.
- Assist in the picking and packing of customer orders.
- Maintain inventory accuracy by properly handling and identifying materials.
- Ensure the warehouse is kept clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Follow all safety regulations and protocols.
- Report any damaged materials or safety concerns to supervisors.
- Participate in team efforts to achieve operational goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to perform manual Lifting of materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Good physical stamina and dexterity.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
- Awareness of and commitment to workplace safety and the use of PPE.
- Previous warehouse or material handling experience is a plus.
