We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our growing logistics operations in Raleigh, North Carolina. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the movement, storage, and organization of materials within our warehouse. Your role is critical in ensuring the efficient flow of goods and supporting our production and shipping teams. This position requires physical capability, a strong understanding of safety protocols, and a commitment to maintaining an organized workspace.
Responsibilities:
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and dollies to move materials.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Organize and store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper inventory management.
- Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate records.
- Identify and report damaged materials or any discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Properly use all required PPE.
- Support shipping and receiving activities as needed.
- Participate in team meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency in operating various types of material handling equipment, with relevant certifications being a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, up to 60 lbs, regularly.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all protocols.
- Good communication skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours if needed.
