Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in Los Angeles, California. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, from receipt of goods to final shipment. You will be responsible for maintaining precise inventory records, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing improvements to inventory management processes. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations and a commitment to maintaining a highly organized and efficient stockroom. The ideal candidate will be proactive, analytical, and possess excellent problem-solving skills. Attention to detail is paramount in this role, as is the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Accurately track and manage inventory levels using warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and variances.
  • Identify and report on slow-moving or obsolete stock.
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Ensure proper storage and organization of all inventory items.
  • Collaborate with receiving, shipping, and other warehouse departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Monitor stock rotation and identify items nearing expiration or with short shelf lives.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety regulations and the proper use of PPE .
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inventory accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or a related warehouse role.
  • Proficiency in WMS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment.
  • Must be able to perform tasks requiring moderate lifting (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
