This role is fundamental to our comprehensive logistics operations, supporting the smooth flow of goods within our distribution center. You will engage in a variety of essential warehouse tasks, including receiving and inspecting inbound shipments, stocking inventory, accurately picking and packing orders, and preparing items for dispatch. A commitment to precision and efficiency is paramount to ensuring our inventory is managed effectively and customer orders are fulfilled without error. You'll be part of a dedicated team, working collaboratively to meet operational objectives while prioritizing a safe working environment. This position demands physical capability, including the ability to perform significant lifting, and a thorough understanding of warehouse safety best practices. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming merchandise against purchase orders.
- Stock products into designated storage areas, ensuring proper rotation (FIFO).
- Accurately pick items for customer orders using hand-held scanners or pick lists.
- Pack orders with appropriate materials to ensure product integrity during transit.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including labeling and staging for carriers.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist in maintaining stock accuracy.
- Operate warehouse equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks safely as trained.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse environment.
- Strictly follow all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience in a warehouse or distribution center setting is highly desirable.
- Must be able to handle frequent lifting of items up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Capacity to stand, walk, bend, and reach for prolonged periods.
- Willingness to adhere to safety standards and wear required PPE.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Basic computer proficiency is a plus.
