Our San Diego, California branch is seeking an organized and experienced Warehouse Coordinator to oversee daily warehouse operations. This leadership role is pivotal in managing inventory, coordinating staff, optimizing workflow, and ensuring the efficient functioning of our logistics hub. The Warehouse Coordinator will be responsible for implementing best practices in warehouse management, maintaining safety standards, and fostering a productive team environment. Your responsibilities will include scheduling and assigning tasks, monitoring productivity, and resolving operational issues. A strong understanding of warehouse procedures, inventory control, and logistics management is essential. Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate all daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, and shipping.
- Manage inventory levels, conduct cycle counts, and ensure accuracy.
- Supervise and train warehouse staff, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
- Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with PPE requirements.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflow for maximum efficiency.
- Coordinate with carriers and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and shipments.
- Maintain warehouse equipment and facilities, reporting any maintenance needs.
- Process orders and ensure accurate and timely fulfillment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational problems as they arise.
- Maintain accurate records and generate reports on warehouse activities.
- Support the overall logistics and supply chain strategy.
- Perform regular lifting of materials up to 40 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in warehouse management or coordination.
- Strong knowledge of logistics, inventory control, and supply chain operations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in warehouse management software (WMS).
- Ability to develop and implement operational strategies.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and enforcing PPE usage.
- Ability to handle physical demands, including regular lifting.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
