We are recruiting a skilled Warehouse Technician for our busy New York City facility. This role is critical for the maintenance and efficient operation of our warehouse equipment and infrastructure, supporting our extensive logistics network. The Warehouse Technician will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on various warehouse machinery, including forklifts, conveyors, and other automated systems. A strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems is essential. You will play a key role in ensuring that all equipment is safe and operational, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a commitment to excellence and a strong focus on safety. This is an excellent career opportunity within the logistics sector. All technicians are required to use designated PPE and follow all safety protocols to the letter. The role involves lifting and moving of parts and equipment. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on warehouse equipment (forklifts, conveyors, automated systems).
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues.
- Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records.
- Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions and emergency repair needs.
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to schedule maintenance activities.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory management of spare parts and maintenance supplies.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement in warehouse operations and logistics.
- Perform tasks involving lifting and maneuvering of parts.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred.
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Technician or in a similar maintenance role.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with warehouse equipment and automation systems.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and the ability to use PPE effectively.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring lifting and physical exertion.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain operations.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
