Resource Road Grader Operator

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Grader Operator to join our Road Maintenance Team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating graders on resource roads in remote areas during winter and summer seasons. The successful candidate will be required to stay in camp (within 1.5 hours of Prince George, BC). Winter maintenance is 24/7 operation and successful candidate may be required to work night shift.

Duties

• Operate grader equipment to maintain resource roads for 24 hour heavy hauling and crew traffic.
• Conduct routine maintenance checks on grader and report issues to field mechanics/Supervisor
• Conduct maintenance around critical infrastructure (camp, bridges, rail crossings etc.) from time to time
• Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a safe work environment
• Report on daily productivity and time

Requirements

• Proven experience operating graders on Resource and Forestry Roads in remote settings in summer and winter conditions.
• Experience in high snow fall areas is an asset
• Ability to operate Cat 14M and Cat 160 grader equipment effectively and safely
• Valid driver's license and clean abstract
• Strong understanding of road maintenance site safety standards and procedures
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 60 per week
