OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced IT Specialist with a focus on cybersecurity, infrastructure, and cloud services. This position is a full-time, in the office, position reporting to the Lead Cybersecurity and Cloud Solutions. This critical role is responsible for fortifying the organization's cybersecurity posture, ensuring the reliability and security of IT infrastructure (including servers, networks, and systems), and maintaining seamless cloud operations. The successful candidate will serve as a technical lead for threat detection, prevention, and incident response, while also acting as a senior escalation point for the service desk. Expertise in Microsoft technologies (Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Azure) and Fortinet security tools is required, along with a proactive commitment to system reliability, security best practices, and user support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Cybersecurity Threat Management: Lead threat detection, prevention, incident response, malware protection, intrusion detection, DLP, and forensic investigations.
  • Network & Infrastructure: Design, implement, and maintain secure networks, servers, and storage with high availability and disaster recovery.
  • Firewall & Security Appliances: Manage Fortinet FortiGate firewalls, configure policies/VPNs, and use FortiAnalyzer/FortiManager for centralized monitoring.
  • Cloud Services: Deploy, secure, and manage Microsoft Azure environments with proper cloud security controls.
  • Systems Administration: Oversee Windows/Linux servers, AD/Entra ID, Microsoft 365, virtualization (VMware/Hyper‑V/Nutanix), and automation via PowerShell.
  • Service Desk (Tier 3): Resolve complex infrastructure/security issues and support/mentor helpdesk staff.
  • Policy & Risk Management: Enforce security policies, perform risk assessments/audits, and align with ISO 27001 and NIST frameworks.
  • Documentation & Improvement: Maintain technical documentation and propose ongoing security and infrastructure enhancements.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and cybersecurity roles.
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols, enterprise firewalls, and IDS/IPS systems.
  • Proficiency with Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Azure.
  • Proficiency with Fortinet tools: FortiGate, FortiAnalyzer, FortiManager.
  • Proficiency with endpoint protection, SIEM tools, and cloud security.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • Advanced certifications (e.g., CCNP, Fortinet NSE4+, MCP).
  • Familiarity with ISO 27001, NIST SP 800-53, CIS Controls.
  • Experience with AWS or multi-cloud environments.
  • Advanced scripting (PowerShell, Python).
  • Experience with ITSM tools (e.g., Freshservice, ServiceNow).
  • Strong communication, documentation, and mentoring skills.
