We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our growing team as we expand into a brand-new satellite clinic in Miami Lakes. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a well-established Orthopaedic practice while helping shape the success and culture of a new location.
As a Physical Therapist, you will play a vital role in evaluating patients and developing personalized treatment plans focused on restoring function, improving mobility, and minimizing long-term disability. Our integrated model places the Therapy department within the Orthopaedic practice, giving you direct and ongoing access to our physicians. This close collaboration supports seamless, high-quality care and enhances patient outcomes.
*Job Responsibilities*
* Evaluate patients and set appropriate treatment plans.
* Administer treatments to include: Therapeutic Exercises, Manual Therapy, Modalities and patient education.
* Fits patients for, adjusts, and trains patients in use and care of orthopedic braces and Orthotics, as well as assistive devices such as crutches, canes and walkers.
* Instructs, motivates and assists patients to learn and improve functional activities such as transfers, ambulation, and activities of daily. Instruct patients on proper body mechanics and posture. Work with patients to safely return to sport and recreational activity after injury
* Confer with patients, Physicians and Case Managers on evaluation results, plan of care and expected outcomes.
* Perform patient documentation for each visit to report treatment, progress and prognosis.
* Attend and participate in all required staff meetings and in-services.
* Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants and Therapy Aides
* Assist front desk personnel as-needed for patient scheduling and customer service concerns.
* Maintain order, cleanliness and a professional atmosphere within the department.
* Responsible for the safeguarding of all patients in the Therapy Department.
* Responsible for maintaining HIPAA compliance at all times.
* Communicate with other departments as a team.
* Additional duties as assigned
*Knowledge/Skills/Abilities*
* Strong Orthopaedic background and desire for continued growth
* Bilingual Spanish preferred
* Manual Therapy training preferred
* Strong organizational, communication, and computer based documenting skills.
* Team player when working with physicians, management, and co-workers
* Courteous and professional when interacting with patients and co-workers
*Education/Experience*
* Must have a Bachelor’s (B.S.) , Master’s degree in Physical Therapy, or graduated as a DPT
* Current and unrestricted Physical Therapist License in the state of Florida
* At least two years of outpatient therapy experience preferred but not required
* Certified in CPR
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $40.00 per hour
