Night Cleaner

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Night Cleaner to join our facilities maintenance team. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong background in cleaning and custodial work, looking to perform essential cleaning duties during overnight hours. The Night Cleaner will ensure that our facilities remain clean, safe, and well-maintained, supporting a productive environment for staff and visitors alike. Candidates with experience in commercial cleaning, janitorial services, or industrial maintenance are encouraged to apply.

Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of all designated areas, including floors, restrooms, offices, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies.
• Conduct floor care procedures such as sweeping, dry mop, damp mop and machine wash.
• Handle custodial tasks including trash removal, dusting, window cleaning, and surface disinfecting.
• Maintain cleanliness of industrial or commercial equipment as needed.
• Assist with minor maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs or fixtures and reporting larger repair needs to management.
• Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment during all cleaning activities.
• Document completed tasks and report any issues or hazards observed during the shift.

Experience

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience is preferred, especially in commercial or industrial settings.
• Knowledge of floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, and sealing is highly desirable.
• Experience with facilities maintenance or porter duties will be considered an asset.
• Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and proper safety procedures related to custodial work.
• Ability to operate cleaning machinery and equipment safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure thorough cleanliness during overnight shifts. Pay: $22.00 per hour
