Lead Direct Support Professional

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Lead DSP to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support and assistance to individuals with disabilities, helping them lead fulfilling lives while promoting their independence. Your responsibilities will include personal care, medication administration, and engaging clients in meaningful activities. Responsibilities

• Assist the residential program with keep the houses cleaned and supplied
• Assist the residential program with transportation of the clients to medical appointments and community outings
• Complete all duties of a DSP when covering a shift in the residential program

Qualifications

• Previous experience in caregiving or direct support roles is preferred.
• Knowledge of first aid and CPR is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the needs of the clients.
• Familiarity with medication administration protocols.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others are essential qualities for success in this role.
