Kennel Technician

Job Summary:
Our small animal clinic is currently seeking a reliable and compassionate Kennel Technician to support the daily care of our boarding and hospitalized patients. The ideal candidate has a genuine interest in animal welfare, is comfortable working with cats and dogs, and demonstrates strong attention to cleanliness and safety. This position requires weekend availability, with weekday shifts available as needed.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Walking and supervising boarding pets
• Cleaning and sanitizing cages, kennels, and boarding areas
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe animal care environment
• Cleaning up after animals promptly and appropriately
• Assisting with basic care and administration of medications as directed
• Observing pets for signs of illness or distress and reporting concerns to doctors on staff

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with animals preferred
• Basic understanding of general animal health and behavior
• Ability to handle animals of various sizes and temperaments safely
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Schedule Requirements:

• Weekend availability is required
• Weekday shifts available as needed

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 40 lbs
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
