Job Overview

Looking for a Pressure Vessel Fitter who will be part of our industrial manufacturing team. All qualified applicants will be required to successfully pass a weld test on 1G plate with Tig and SMAW and possess the ability to demonstrate appropriate level of experience with pressure vessel fitting.

Pressure Vessel Fitter responsibilities include:

· Set-up quality nozzle and branch welds

· Set-up welds

· Welding, grinding, beveling

· Layout and precision fit components

· Set-up and run all oxy-fuel cutting/burning

· Ability to read drawings, including weld symbols

· Use of portable hand, electric, and air powered tools such as; grinders, drills, and band saws

· Use of arc gouger, flame cutting torch, and plasma torch

· Use of overhead cranes, jib cranes, forklifts, and other lifting devices to move components safely

Requirements of the Pressure Vessel Fitter:

• Minimum of 5 years experience in an ASME section VIII environment performing similar fitting tasks
• Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings
• Basic mathematical ability to add and subtract fractions, decimals, and whole numbers. Basic plus higher abilities preferred
• Possess personal set of tools
• Must demonstrate reliable and punctual attendance
• Must have a VALID Driver license
• Comply to drug screening
• Comply to background check
• Must pass work physical

Physical Requirements:

· Be able to stand or walk for long periods

· Use arms and hands to reach for, handle, or manipulate objects

· Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds, occasionally lifting items weighing more than 50 pounds with assistance

· Climb up and down ladders, scaffolds, and other objects

· Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl

· Acceptable eyesight – naturally or with corrective lenses

· Good hand-eye coordination

· Overall good physical fitness
