Electric Panel Assembler

JOB SUMMARY

The Panel Assembly Position provides assembly labor for North American Electric by performing control panel fabrication and assembly to fulfill customer requirement, such as wiring, while adhering to safety, quality, and customer specifications.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Reads work orders, blueprints, and specifications to determine assembly requirements
• Check back panel components against BOM to ensure all required parts are available
• Populate back panel and enclosures based on customer request
• Knowledge to operate hand and power tools
• Resolve routine questions and problems, referring more complex issues to higher levels
• Follow detailed written or verbal instructions
• Documents production time and components used in each panel assembly
• Follows established safety standards and PPE
• Regularly lift 30-50 pounds
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and written
• Experience using basic hand tools, and power tools
• Basic reading and math skills and must be able to follow directions
• Good attention to detail
• Strong team player
• Must be self-motivated
• Ability to work independently within established procedures
• Experience installing or wiring electrical equipment a plus
• Assembly or production line experience preferred

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent
