The Harborview Medical Center Social Work Department has an outstanding opportunity for a Counseling Social Worker to join the Harborview Abuse & Trauma Center (HATC) .
WORK SCHEDULE
• Full-Time / 40 Hours per week
• Day shift
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
Provide trauma counseling to children, youth, adults and families
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide consultation and information and referral to client families, other professionals, and the community at large
• Provide crisis intervention to victims or other clients both over the phone and in person
• Provide psychosocial assessments to victims or suspected victims and their families
• Provide individual, family and group therapy utilizing an abuse/trauma specific clinical orientation
• Provide other clinical services as needed to include telephone intake and medical social worker coverage for initial medical exams, telephone outreach, and mobile advocacy and outreach.
REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
A Master of Social Work Degree from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education
AND
One year of full-time social work experience in a health care setting or equivalent. Experience can include a practicum placement as part of a social work training program and/or employment experience.
LEGAL REQUIREMENT
Must hold the following credentials issued by the state of Washington:
• Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker
