Job Overview

Duties

• Design and implement age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development for toddlers
• Foster a warm, welcoming classroom environment that encourages curiosity and independence
• Monitor and ensure the safety of all children at all times, adhering to health and safety regulations
• Support children with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and hygiene practices
• Engage in ongoing communication with parents or guardians about each child's progress and needs
• Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement strategies and behavior management techniques
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan curriculum activities that align with early childhood education standards

Requirements

• Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings, especially with toddlers
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific caregiving techniques
• Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or working with children with disabilities are a plus
• Strong classroom management skills to create an organized and nurturing environment
• Ability to handle caregiving tasks such as diapering, feeding, and supervising active children
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members
• Experience with behavior management strategies suitable for young children
