Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a genuine smile and friendly demeanor, making them feel comfortable and appreciated.
• Manage reservations efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring smooth seating arrangements.
• Maintain an organized waitlist and communicate wait times clearly to guests, keeping them informed and engaged.
• Escort guests to their tables promptly, providing menus and answering initial questions about the menu or specials.
• Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to optimize seating flow and reduce wait times, enhancing overall guest satisfaction.
• Handle guest inquiries over the phone with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the host stand area to uphold a welcoming environment.
• Support guest services by addressing concerns politely and efficiently, ensuring every visitor feels valued and respected.

Requirements

• Previous host/host experience in a restaurant or food service setting is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality is essential
• Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and a passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests, team members, and management.
• Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous.
• Experience in food service or hospitality environments, including hotel guest services or serving roles, is a plus.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
• Professional phone etiquette and guest relations skills to ensure every caller and visitor feels welcomed.
• Flexibility to work part-time hours that may include evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
