Aphios Corporation, a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on sustainable drug development and nanotechnology-based therapeutics, is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper/Accountant to manage day-to-day financial operations and support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks or similar accounting software
• Process accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and grant accounting
• Support tax preparation and liaise with external auditors and accountants
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls

Qualifications

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping or general accounting Proficient in Sage, Excel, and Microsoft Office Suite Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills Experience with government grants (e.g., NIH, SBIR) a plus Familiarity with biotech or R&D environments preferred
