Job Summary
This is a full-time on-site role for a CNC Machinist located in Greater Houston. The CNC Machinist will be responsible for operating Okuma Multus U4000 CNC machines, performing milling operations, handling quality control tasks, and maintaining machinery. Daily responsibilities also include setting up machines, ensuring the precision of parts, and adhering to safety protocols.

Duties

• Lead a team of machinists, providing guidance, training, and support as needed
• Set up and operate CNC machines, lathes, mills, and other machining equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance on machines per established maintenance schedule and as required.
• Perform quality checks on finished and in-process parts to ensure accuracy and adherence to specifications
• Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues as they arise
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols

Qualifications

• Minimum of (5) years of experience as a machinist, with (3) years in HMLV (high-mix low-volume) production environment
• Familiarity with G and M Code required. Experience with Okuma OSP a plus.
• Experience with 5 axis, Mill-turn, or Multi-tasking machines required.
• Proficiency in operating CNC machines, lathes, mills, and other machining equipment
• Strong knowledge of machining processes, materials, and tooling
• Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings and technical specifications (GD&T)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Effective communication and leadership abilities
• Commitment to safety and quality standards

Pay: $ $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 60.0 per week
