The School of Liberal Arts is seeking an Assistant Professor for Psychology to begin Fall 2026. The Assistant Professor has the primary responsibility of instruction in the classroom for students enrolled in Psychology courses, and depending on qualifications, courses in Human Services/Pre-Social Work, as well as ensuring the success and retention of students while maintaining high academic standards.

Design and deliver student learning experiences and assess student progress.
Provide constructive and timely communication with students and colleagues.
Guide and mentor students in and outside the classroom to promote their success.
Collaborate with colleagues to promote learning and professional growth.
Engage in ongoing professional growth and development.
Serve the college and community as an active contributing professional.
Minimum QualificationsMaster's or doctoral degree with 24 hours of graduate work in Psychology and/or Social Work required. Ability to teach Introduction to Psychology course. Philosophy compatible with that of a comprehensive urban community college.
Preferred QualificationsMasters or Ph.D. in Psychology or Social Work. Prior teaching experience at the community college or university level. Prior professional experience in social service agencies.
