Responsibilities
Assist licensed electricians with the installation and maintenance of electrical systems on construction/industrial sites, including both low voltage and high voltage applications. Use hand tools and power tools to cut, bend, and install conduit, wiring, and electrical components according to schematics and blueprints. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to support accurate installation. Operate testing equipment such as ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical circuits and identify faults efficiently. Help with the setup of low voltage systems like alarms or communication wiring, adhering to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Support the safe handling of electrical materials and ensure all work complies with safety regulations and site protocols. Assist with framing carpentry tasks related to electrical installations when necessary, ensuring proper support for conduit and equipment.
Skills
Hands-on experience with industrial or commercial electrical systems is highly desirable. Proficiency in using hand tools (pliers, screwdrivers) and power tools (drills, saws) for electrical work. Familiarity with reading blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute installations. Knowledge of NEC standards for both low voltage and high voltage systems to ensure code compliance. Experience working on construction sites with an understanding of safety procedures and protocols. Ability to operate testing devices such as ohmmeters for troubleshooting electrical circuits. Basic knowledge of frame carpentry related to electrical infrastructure installation is a plus. Pay: $ $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
