WHAT YOU'LL DO: 

Role: 

Reporting to the Controller, the Assistant Controller will play a key role in supporting the company's financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and contributing to both process improvement and operational decision-making. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional with strong analytical capabilities and a collaborative mindset, especially someone who thrives in a fast-paced technology or manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities: 

  • Own weekly global cash flow visibility and a rolling 8+ week liquidity forecast, consolidating multi-entity/multi-currency cash activity, analyzing drivers/variance, and supporting treasury decisions on funding, payments, and intracompany settlements.
  • Own complex general ledger accounting for a multinational manufacturing environment, including journal entries and account reconciliations for intercompany transactions and eliminations, inventory valuation, COGS and standard cost variances, FX remeasurement, and cross-border movements of goods and fixed assets.
  • Partner with the Controller and FP&A on pre-close review of key P&L and balance sheet accounts, delivering flux/variance analysis, validating assumptions, and escalating risks prior to close.
  • Lead month-end and year-end close execution for general accounting and accounts receivable, driving the close calendar, reviewing reconciliations and supporting schedules, and ensuring timely, accurate financial records and close deliverables.
  • Drive improvements to accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls, prioritizing automation, audit-ready documentation, and consistent execution across global entities and processes.
  • Own the annual external audit end-to-end, managing the plan, timeline, and PBC deliverables across AP, AR, treasury/fixed assets, and international accounting, and coordinating audit support for inventory/costing, intercompany, FX, revenue, and fixed assets.
  • Partner with IT and business stakeholders to deliver ERP enhancements and module implementations (Field Service Management, U.S. Sales Tax, UAE VAT), including requirements, testing/UAT, data validation, systems integration, and post-go-live stabilization with a focus on financial reporting impacts.
  • Act as a key escalation point and backup to the Controller, leading ad hoc analyses and special projects that support finance priorities and scaling global operations.

WHO YOU ARE: 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • CPA designation (or in final stages of completion) is required.
  • 8 - 10 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing or tech environment.
  • Solid understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting (an asset), relevant industry experience
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, or Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Proficient in MS Excel and financial statement analysis.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to work effectively with colleagues across departments.
  • A collaborative team player who contributes to a positive work environment and supports team and organizational goals.
  • Comfortable translating complex financial data and concepts to non-financial audiences and working closely with operations, supply chain, and other business units.
