Process Engineering Student - Summer 2026

Reporting to the Island Gas Operations Supervisor, the successful candidate must thrive in a fast paced, ever changing environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism, accuracy, and detail. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a "can do" attitude. This position will ensure that all goods and services are procured and are being managed to achieve the lowest overall cost for the company.

• Hourly wage: $ $24.40/hr 

• Assist in daily operations duties to ensure the smooth functioning of Island Gas facilities and transportation.
• Support ongoing maintenance activities, including equipment inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Collaborate with the operations team to identify areas for improvement and propose solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
• Complete assigned upgrade projects, ensuring timely and successful execution.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of maintenance procedures and documentation.
• Participate in safety programs and adhere to all health and safety guidelines.
• Actively engage in training and development opportunities to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gain a comprehensive understanding of Island Gas' operations within the Irving company.

• Currently enrolled in an engineering program or related field.
• Must be applying as part of a co-op program 
• Strong interest in operations engineering, maintenance, and documentation.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality work.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety practices and protocols.
• Proficient in using productivity tools, such as Microsoft Office Suite.
